Salvatore Schillaci. That name makes any Irish football fan’s skin crawl. He is the man responsible for the goal that knocked Ireland out of the Italia 90 World Cup. So when Irish TV station TG4 decided to broadcast Ireland’s World Cup campaign 30 years later, we knew it was time to get our own back. We did something our beloved Packie Bonner couldn’t do. We made Schillaci miss. We even did it in lockdown.
